     The Leeds Hose Co. # 1 is one of four Fire Departments in the Town of Catskill.  Their protection district encompasses the northern area of the Town including parts of the NYS Thruway. Catskill Village, Kiskatom and Palenville are the other three Departments . Established in 1922 as the Leeds Chemical Fire Company, they were renamed and moved to their present location in 1923. Their first chemical cart is shown above.  Assigned County ID # 17, they are in the Fourth Battalion.


Current Fire Chief is George Holsopple.
