     Meeting for the first time in 1948 and incorporating on August 19, 1953, the Knox Fire Department is located at 2198 Berne Altamont Road, Town of Altamont, 12009.
     Their first apparatus, a 1922 chain driven ALF 750/350, was purchased from the Scotia FD.
